This book is aimed at parents of babies from birth to two years of age. The purpose of the book is to show parents the value of reading to their babies from day one. Every word their baby hears adds up to millions of words before preschool. Children who hear the most words, according to research, become the best students and the most successful in life after school.

I'd like to see a young parent, preferably a dad, reading to a baby (photographically a baby of about six months to a year works best). The baby should be looking intently at the book (and the book should be a big part of the design). The book should be big and geared to babies like The Baby's Lap Book, but the title probably shouldn't be distinguishable. I like to see also an artistic collage or other way to show different words all over- to illustrate the title even more. I think this would be a really fun project to design; it should appeal to new parents, particularly mothers and grandmothers since they're the ones that buy the books. Thank you, Enjoy!
http://www.amazon.com/The-Right-Wor…0802853854. Please look at children's, especially very young children's books for inspiration. The illustrators are some of our finest artists. The Caldecott medal winners is another place to go for inspiration: http://www.ala.org/alsc/awardsgrant…ecottmedal
Also look at Jack Prelutsky's Read-Aloud Rhymes for the very Young with the illustrations of Marc Brown. There used to be a cool cover of a mom reading to kids. Now a different one. But Brown's illustrations wonderful.http://www.amazon.com/dp/0394872185/ref=rdr_ext_tmb.
