A book cover for both print and ebook. If the print could be wrap around, that would be great. The size for print cover will be better known when formatting is finished. I will want to upload to all major sites (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Koble, etc). This is a first in a 5 book series. I have the second book finished and is also undergoing formatting.
Name on cover: B. F. Scott
Series: To Fly with Dragons
Subtitle: the Obsession of a king (book 1)
The first book is the lead into the why of what is happening in the next four books. It will also be the smallest of the series.
Rushchon Treviste has lost the love of his life to another man, a shape shifting fire dragon who is a warrior to the royal dragon guard. Rushchon is not a dragon, he is royalty. Rushchon Treviste, low king of Pachemus to the region of Gracon. He should be the one with the girl. So why did Esa Montgomery, his childhood friend, choose the dragon over him?
One kiss from Bayden seals the fate of Esa’s future, setting a course that gives hope to the evil rising from within the realm. Rushchon can hide his pain for only so long and it’s a matter of time when he will no longer be able to hide how he truly feels. Pretending is killing him; taking her back is the only way he will survive. But doing so will bring out his monster and threaten not only Esa’s life, but the existence of all the dragons of Pachemus.
There are three main characters in this book.
The king, who loves the girl, but slowly loses his mind when he loses her to the dragon.
Bayden, the dragon shape shifter. When he transforms, fire builds from his feet and bursts over his body as he becomes the dragon. Same as he returns to human.
The girl, human, dark, coppery hair. She becomes both mate and dragon rider to Bayden.
I am unsure what I want. I just know I want it to be something that when it is picked up, it is hard to take your eyes off.
There is a part in the book where the Bayden and Esa both change within the dragons fire, changing the man to dragon and the rider to a warrior. Not sure if that helps.
I am not a designer so I am open to any and all suggestions. I can give more information if needed.
While the dragon in this book is a fire dragon(his coloring is like the setting sun), I'm not big on red and/or orange being the main color of the cover.
There are also gargoyles in this story. They are guardians to the dragon. A dragon is never without it, even in flight, they fly wing man at the dragons tail.
