Peter was born for one purpose - to become the first human elemental. This is the story of how control of Earth's weather is passed down from one being to another. The Earth has three elementals; Earth, Air, Water. Or to put into another way of thinking; The dirt beneath your feet, the weather over your head, and the rivers, lakes, and oceans that surround us.
Barnabas finds Peter at his birth in a small town of Tomball, Texas. Barnabas is a fox who was taken up by the sky 40,000 years ago and has maintained and controlled the weather ever since. But Barnabas knows Pete is special. There is something about Peter that intrigues Barnabas. So Barnabas follows Pete throughout his childhood, and makes contact with Peter shortly after his sixteenth birthday. At first, as a child, Peter was equally intrigued with the sky, strange cloud patterns, and severe thunderstorms Barnabas is using to show himself to Peter. But, Barnabas goes too far and frightens Pete one afternoon causing Peter to shutdown and internalize his life. For almost a year and a half Peter is a different person, until he meets a new student transfer at school, Elizabeth Crowley. Peter's life changes back to before frightened by Barnabas.
Peter becomes fascinated by his surroundings once again and begins to share his strange life with Elizabeth, who rejects Peter after learning about his interaction with Barnabas, the fox. Over the next few years (High School) Peter becomes more and more familiar with Barnabas but Peter regrets his breakup with Elizabeth.
Peter and Elizabeth reunite during college where Pete becomes torn between the two entities he loves; Barnabas and Elizabeth. Peter believes he can live between two worlds; one as a typical working American adult and being the master of the sky and weather. But there is no escape for Peter. When Barnabas becomes mortally injured by the HAARP array, Peter seeks revenge and the Sky takes Peter, forever.
