We are a very high end boutique personal injury law firm. No billboards, radio, or tv advertising because we're 180 degrees opposite of the ambulance chasing lawyers you see on tv--they are reprehensible to us and go against everything we believe in. Our brand is built on trust & doing things the right way. Everything we do as a law firm is driven by our core values, integrity, good character, and ethics. Our target/ideal clients are more sophisticated professionals who are committed to health & healing first while we pursue the financial justice they deserve. Our new icon is a Lighthouse that metaphorically guides our clients' path to health & justice--our slogan or tagline. All proposed designs should incorporate a Lighthouse into the new logo. Our brand and the way we practice is "Out of the Box" and we're looking for design proposals that reflect that. We are different from most all of the law firms that do what we do and any proposed design should be sophisticated, stylish, cutting edge, and not have the old stodgy dated look that most law firms have. I prefer clean lines and loathe clutter--simple elegance. We're only looking for designs that will set us apart and reflect our unique brand. Our website is http://www.eltlaw.com. It's a work in progress and we intend to incorporate our new logo & Lighthouse into it.

I am reluctant to give examples of other law firm logos as I haven't really seen any that I like. I attached the image below not b/c that's what I'm looking for but the only one that I have ever looked at and thought, well that's at least headed in the right direction. What I like about it is that the "K" is stylized & very prominent in the firm logo but leaves room to change firm name later on and still retain logo. Meaning, if I ultimately decide to add individual partners names to the firm name I can do it as artistic focus would be on the "E" in Eltringham Law Group and name change does not impact logo design, e.g., Eltringham, Datny & Jerla, P.A.--my current partners. This works because I own the firm and there will always be Eltringham in whatever future configuration I might come up with.
