We want an identity that reflects what we do (recruitment and solving workload management problems) and that relfects our culture. We aim to deliver a service based on integrity, innovation, excellent customer experience, and professionalism.
Our service is free to sign up to and browse, and clients initially don't commit to any financial or legal committment. We charge the hiring business a commission on closed project.
The logo and brand needs to come across as fresh (original), serious (for business consideration), safe, and professional.
Our main challenge is that most businesses are fixed in their ways and would be difficult to convince them to change how they do things. We want an identity that is very welcoming and trust-worthy to at least consider.
The name of the start-up - TheHIVE - is from two concepts:
- Cooperation of hard-working entities in the economy (just like a bees or ants hive)
- Breaking unnecessary barriers between firms (sharing economy model in an innovative, bold and positively-disruptive way)
I want designers to think freely about how to present this so I'm not sharing ideas. But in general, we like the minimalist, warm yet sophisticated look. Less is more. Hexagons are welcome. Playing with the word/letters is also welcome. Creative use of ants or bees is OK as long as we don't send the wrong message of what we do as a business (e.g. use of bees misleading to honey).
If you disagree with me and think you have a stronger suggestion, go for it! The above is provided as a guide, but I always remain open to listen to bold and creative ideas
