Nobull Apparel is a new company that tries to find innovative ways to fund school sports programs in the US. We produce polo shirts and button downs now and are expanding into other items such and jeans. We use a portion of our profits to help fund urban athletic programs. Our model is straightforward - 1 shirt, 1 kid, 1 day of sports. The more shirts we sell, the more kids we can help play school sports. The shirts are based on a classic athletic style and everything we do is American made. Our design focus is on fit rather than fashion. We keep things classic and are setting up a supply and souricng model that allows for quick production of more sizes for varied body types
Our target audience are 18-40 year olds who keep to a classic aesthletic and are looking for reasonably priced, but still tailored fit clothing. These guys are active, studied abroad and push themselves to do things beyond just making money. They read by Hemingway, Vonnegut and Kerouac. They currently shop at places like Brooks Brother, Ralph Lauren and go to H &M when they are looking for value. They feel compelled to give back to their communites, but often feel their demanding work and social lives eat away the time to do so.
When we were kicking around ideas for the feel of our brand, we were looking at some key tenants of american culture. Given the name "Nobull" we want to include the imagery of bull horns in some way.
We want to make sure the bull horns stay away from anything like the Texas Long Horns and Merrill Lynch. We are only looking for Bull horns and not a full bull head.
Everything we make has a sort of 60s appeal, so our logo should have a vintage feel to it. I t should be simple and easily recognizable. Given our focus on a vintage style, we want to stay away from anything too honky tonk or rodeo like. Think of a logo you would find on your father's shirt from way back.
Our target demographic ideintifies with characters like Holden Caulfield, Dos Equois's Most Interesting Man, Any of Hemmingway's characters, Jack Bauer, Steve Mcqueen, Paul Newman etc.
Like a Polo Shirt from Lacoste the logo is going to be on the chest of the shirts.
The logo should not be too elaborate and would like to keep it to one color. The horns logo should look appropriate as the letter "U" in the word "Nobull." See logo
We have attached a few logos we really like to help you get started.
