Create a new app icon for Lunar Module 3D

I have an iPhone app in the app store called Lunar Module 3D which is a 3d lunar lander style game and I am currently working on an ipad version. I am not very happy with the current app icons as they look a bit sloppy and unprofessional. The current icons show an apollo lunar module flying diagonally with a planet in the background. I am generally happy with all of these components of the icon although I would be open to having the planet in the background look more like the moon and less like the earth. I am also pretty happy with the colors in the icon although I would be open to different colors. Although I am happy with a lot of the basic elements of the old icon I would be open to any great completely original design concepts as well. I need the icons in all of the standard iOS sizes which include iphone, iphone retina, ipad , ipad retina, itunes , and itunes retina. I have attached my current itunes and iphone icons along with a couple screenshots of the game. Edit: I changed my mind about what should be behind the Lunar Module in the icon. It doesn't have to be the moon behind the lunar module unless it can be made to look good like this. I am more concerned with having good colors in the app icon.

There are many lunar lander games on the app store. I want to make sure mine really stands out from the rest.
