Summary: To a drummer, playing in the pocket means to make the music feel good. My show The Pocket is about exploring this idea, documenting my journey to becoming a working professional drummer and showcasing what I learn along the way. I'm 33 so it's a bit late in the game but I refuse to give up. In this podcast I will discuss all things related to drums including gear, practice, finance, relationships, health, technique, jobs and a multitude of other drum related topics.
Demographic: young female and male drummers ages 18 - 35.
1. The design must be cohesive. All the elements must look like they belong together.
2. For best results, I want you to do you. Choose a style in your wheel house. I am no designer so I can't tell you what that is. I'm almost certain I will like it better than anything I could suggest.
3. What not to do: Random fonts over photographs. I can do this myself. The reason I'm here is for your expertise in putting together a unique design. That's not to say that you can't use photographs or fonts. If done creatively and in a way that I couldn't do it in Microsoft Paint, then I'm all for it.
Colors: No more than 2. Keep it simple. Keep it clean.
Fonts: something clean. not gaudy or flamboyant. go with something that doesn't look like it comes standard with Photoshop or MS Paint.
