This is for a podcast cover art. If you scroll through Apple/ITunes, and go to the business, marketing, career, and sales category: you'll see that the final product will look really small on mobile phones, which is the primary way my audience will consume the podcast (and the cover art). So the illustration needs to be clear, simple, bold, immediately legible and recognizable within just seconds. It will stand next to hundreds of other cover arts out there, so I wouldn't mind something that catches the eye, and make the stop and stare. Bright colors are welcomed. That being said, the challenge is to not look too similar to other business, marketing, career, and sales podcasts out there. I have no interest in blending in. Right now, there's a lot of cover arts that use things like fire/flame, microphones, green dollar signs, graphs (for business-y look), the play button/icon, and light bulbs. While there's nothing inherently wrong with any of these, I'd like for us to try to stay away from them as much as possible. The concept of the name of the podcast is personal development (from good, to growing, to being great). Not sure visually if there's anything we can do to capture the essence of this concept, so I'd welcome the pleasant surprise!
