Digital Barbershop
I'm a video color correction artist who specializes in making feature films, prime-time TV shows and commercials look their best. My clients are often art directors and creative directors, and I would love to have my branding appeal to their trained sense of design.
If at all possible, what I'd like to do is somehow blend the idea of old-school barbershop mentality into a logo that advertises my color correction services.
My thoughts are to combine some of the common iconic imagery of a barbershop culture (scissors, combs, clippers, barber pole, etc) with the iconic imagery of color correction (color wheel, vector scope, chip chart, color bars, etc). I'm very open to ideas incorporating these or other aspects into the logo in a creative, understated fashion.
Also, if you have any other ideas outside of what I'm describing that you think will work better at conveying my services effectively, by all means, go nuts!
I also prefer color to be slightly muted as opposed to vivid.
EDIT 1: I'd definitely err on the side of using iconography more prominently than typography, though I'm very interested to see what cool things you guys can do with type if you've got a wild, cool idea. Also, I neglected to mentioned that I established the brand in 2012, so if you decide to incorporate "Est. 20xx" into the design, please use that year!
