Clean Professional Logo Needed for Restaurant Software Site

I am developer that spends his free time writing websites and software for foodies, restaurateurs, and wine snobs. I tend to like simple and elegant designs in general.

The target audience is restaurant owners, managers, and staff...particularly those involved in smaller companies (1 - 5 locations).

I'm looking for a clean, professional logo for a new website targeted at restaurant owners and managers. The site, called Restaurant Tools (domain name restauranttools.com) will offer suites of software that will aid restaurants with their marketing, operations, and competitive analysis.

The site and software suite will be designed around the logo...in fact, the site designer (who I met through this very site) will be involved in the final selection process. I'm looking for something that will be the cornerstone of a brand identity.

The final selection will be easily transferable to other mediums (print, embroidery, etc.) and will be able to be adapted for other uses (e.g. print ads, banner ads, fav icons, etc). Also, I would like to have 2 versions of the logo, one plain, and one with a "beta" tagline.

For a deliverable, I would like to have the logo provided in web format (preferable png), as well as vector format as an illustrator file.
