To combat the recession in the UK a group of Internet Solution companies have agreed to work in partnership. The partnership is called 'Consorteum' with the 'e' emphasising the sector they work in. A modern logo is needed.
Consorteum
Times are getting tough and instead of fighting over work, a group of companies, who offer a broad range of Internet services from architecture to hosting, have joined forces and formed a partnership called 'Consorteum'. A new web site is being created but initially a logo design is required.
Ideally the logo and strapline needs to capture the spirit of the partnership - i.e. individual groups of talented people coming together to work as one. We know the name is a bit tacky and using the 'e' of Consorteum to emphasis our sector is a bit old school, but it does sum up what we are doing, i.e. Internet solutions providers working together to form a consortium. Therefore, it would be good if we could do something with the 'e' but it would be nice if it was subtle NOT any play on internet explorer etc.
The working strapline at the moment is: Connecting experts when it matters. This might change but you can use it for positional purposes.
We don't have any colour preferences at the moment but the logo does need to work B/W.
Let me know if you have any questions.
UPDATE:
Hi all, from the entries so far I think I might have not communicated our requirement clearly enough in the brief. I apologise for this. Ideally we want a logo that subtly highlights the 'e' but does not use it as an icon to support the brand name or make it too obvious it dominates the brand name. If any icons or images are used to support the name then I believe something resembling the coming together of people (i.e. the experts) could be interesting. It needs to look modern, with a nice font and work well on a web page. A number of the entries have been very deep (portrait) which would not work well for our purposes.
Please ask any questions if you have the
- modern
- clean
- subtle emphasis of the 'e' in Consorteum to communicate our sector
- simple and eye catching
- complicated
- IE style use of the 'e' - i.e. too tacky
