Create a COOL, CLEVER logo for a DRUMMER'S brand/website!

I am a drummer, putting together a website and video blog to teach drumming and showcase my talents. The site will also serve to discuss topics related to creativity/productivity and how to turn passions into real projects.

The logo will feature as the banner/graphics in my website, in my video intros, and potentially, on merchandise. My target audience is broad - fellow drummers (typically men of all ages) but also musicians and anyone interested in music/entertainment/creative lifstyle in general.

I would like the logo to be essentially two things: a “stamp” of a combination of the letters “Y” and “D”, in addition to the typography that goes into “Yoni the Drummer” and the slogan. Y and D are actually my initials, in addition to “Yoni” and “Drummer,” so a clever way of combining the two letters, could be a personal stamp when I don’t have the full text for “Yoni the Drummer”.

“Be on the beat, off the beaten path.” Is the slogan that I will use, that covers both the drumming and non-drumming content. I would like to see the slogan below the “Yoni the Drummer” text. It does not have to have the same font/typeface, but should be similar in style and fit within the overall logo.

In terms of overall typography, I like both script and print and lettering, as long as it's clear and has a nice "flow."

I recognize that the word “Drummer” will be in the logo. But, I do NOT want an OBVIOUS reference to drumming. It may be something subtle, but, for example, making one of the letters a drum is just way too obvious.

I love CLEVER designs and logos. Cool ways to combine the letters and interesting typography that blends elements of the overall logo and colors, etc. I want my personal brand to extend beyond just drumming. I will be writing a lot – not just about how to drum – but about how to take your passions and creativity and take them to the next level.

I want the logo to combine the things that I’m good at and that the blog will focus on – drumming, music, writing, creativity, and productivity. I want a clever and clean logo that can be used across multiple mediums.

I have attached a photo of myself that will most likely make it to the website. Making a character out of this is NOT REQUIRED. However, this might help you create the logo, knowing what I look like. And, if you believe you can create some kind of a character, or incorporate it into the logo, it may be cool!
