We are a small consulting firm that works with school districts, and the organizations who work with them, to improve the systems that support schools. We are striving to be a thought leader in the education reform community on central office level reform, working at the intersection between education reform and civil service reform.
We have two main audiences: the leaders of school systems and the education reform community. The leaders of school systems are typically people have have worked their way up in school districts and tend to be traditionally minded, hierarchal leaders who are very, very busy. This audience might be turned off by a logo that is too slick looking. By contrast, the education reform community interested in central office reform tend to be mid-career, with a background in business, and dynamic. This audience will appreciate a logo that invokes good design.

People hire us to help them redesign business processes and change the culture of their offices to be more nimble, user-centered and efficient. The biggest challenge that clients ask for help with is getting people to work collaboratively across departments, rather than in silos. I need a logo that conveys a modern, streamlined approach to work, and invokes creativity and collaboration. We use a TON of post-its when we work with groups, maybe you could do something playful with that?
