Besides the target audience there ist one point you need to know: We are using the coloring of the logo as a guidance for our costumers. Different color means different genre. That also means that there are books that have two logos. E. g. one for fantasy, one for erotic.
So our logo mustn't be too complex because it has to be minimized for the covers.
Age: 25 to 50
Gender: Homosexual men and heterosexual women who like realistic gay stories und "real" gay men.
Education: Our customers are mostly of higher education and pretty sophisticated.
It's very important for us to avoid stereotypes. Neither do we or our publications refer to the "flaming fairy" nor the "all gay men are BDSM-leather guys"-cliché.
We are talking about proud, down to the earth men who often like black humor and sports but happen to fall for other men.
Thanks to the language barrier there has been a little misunderstanding regarding the meaning of our name.
Incubus Verlag would be translated as Incubus publishing house or Incubus publishing. Means the word "Verlag" should find a place in the lettering but the V a lot of you guys liked to work around is not the important part of the name.
Even if we are officially work under the tag Incubus Verlag our customers tend to remember just Incubus.
I would love to see some ideas playing with the incubus concept. (Male demon)
Beyond that: Great work guys. I'm amazed!
