1) We like this concept so please stick to the overall idea and composition. You can take creative liberty in the font and sword and even add to it but please stick to this basic concept.
2) We want an image that is crisp, clean and to the point like our reference.
3) Where we really want to see this thing come to life is in the texture. We would love to have more of a "MOVIE POSTER LOOK" and 3D feel within the textures in the sword and text than a 2D drawing feel that we have now in the reference.
Overall synopsis of the film:
This is the epic story of Saint Patrick of Ireland. Born into Britanian nobility just before the turn of the fourth century, Patricius had a world of position and prestige in his future. The story takes shape in the prime of his youth where Patricius is both well educated and a great swordsman. Just days before leaving his village to study in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Patricius secretly vows his love to Amicitia, his childhood affection. On that very night, a piratical Irish raid blazes through his father’s village where Patricius along with his best friend Sergius and Amicitia are carried off and sold into slavery in Ireland. There, the three encounter battles and gladiator rings fit for death. Miraculously they survive and are ultimately sold to King Loegaire, one of the powerful rulers in the land. Almost immediately, Patricius and Sergius are separated from Amicitia and sent to tend the King’s flocks of sheep on the desolate and very dangerous Slemish Mountain. Soon, the ravenous mountains lay hold of Sergius where he is taken back to the village to serve the King there. Abandoned by all that was familiar, Patricius grew in strength as a shepherd warrior against the deadly wolves in the high slopes. Patricius also grew in faith as he was left with a copy of the vulgate, the word of God translated in Latin. For six years Patricius guards the king’s flocks and his legend grows in the Irish communities. For how could a man last such a time on the Slemish hills? Only through divine intervention does Patricius escape slavery and must leave behind Amiticia in order to safe her life. He vows that he will return. Patricius makes his way back to Britannia only to find his homeland desolate and broken by years of raids and war. Nothing is left for Patricius but his grandfather’s papal cross, a symbol of his heritage in family and faith, which he fastens around his neck. With nowhere to go, Patricius is met by divine appointment and is introduced to Bishop Germanus. Here Patricius devotes his life to Christ. Patricius spends the next four years studying and living as a monk, taking on the priestly vow of celibacy. One night in a dream Patricius is summoned to “Come home”. He is called to go back to Ireland. This time as a bishop of the Church! Here the once slave becomes a saint to be remembered for all time, but not without great sacrifice. The story of Patrick is a highly charged action drama taking place as the Roman Empire is slowly falling and laying vulnerable the cities it once protected. This film is full of battle, love and redemption. It sees the world through a lens of great personal sacrifice and examines the heart and soul of a man and his journey to understand calling, vocation, faith and ultimate love.
