Swing Knits® is a derivative of Swing-Knitting™ which was originated by someone in Germany who assigned musical terminology to standard knitting terms. She has used musical images to describe her material to liken it to Swing music. That is NOT what I want to emulate.
My idea is that the technique of knitting short rows back and forth creates a kinetic energy which results in organic, free-form shapes. Please take a moment to look at some of the designs on the following website. You may have to "sign up" (at no cost) to peruse the international site for knitters and crocheters. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/bzknitter I love nature and some of the areas of the designs take on a leaf-like look.
The design should be immediately recognizable as my brand. One example that is I minimal with maximum understanding is the example of the crochet hook going through the yarn ball. In my case, I would want knitting needles and a representation of the organic shapes in the ball.
A thought I had about the word, swing, is a Newton's Cradle because of it's kinetic energy as balls collide. Could they be yarn balls? And could the structure be knitting needles? How about the letters S-W-I-N-G superimposed on the balls? A photo is attached in the images files.
Another thought occurred when I examine the word, Swing. S-wing. A wing could be shaped like a leaf with the organic shapes inside of it. These are just random thoughts.
For now, I have used a "piece" (square) of a photo in the headings of my documents to have a visual of what it is I do. A document file is included in the files section as well as a sample of a business card.
