Hey, design superstars. Great work. Seeing your creativity is inspiring and has given me a clearer idea of what I want. Hope this helps you do your thing even better...
Anyway, my brand is smart, strong, successful women. These are women in their late 30's and to early 50's - doctors, lawyers, executives. So we want smart - but not stuffy. Corporate but not cold. A brand you can trust. A blend of masculine and feminine. The logo should be clean, professional, and easy to read.
I was attached to the college crest thing, but I'm letting it go. Yes, this is Love U, but I am open to seeing your own take on it. Sorry about that.
After 200 bids, I'm discovering that I respond to a few recurring images, which I've attached here:
1. the male/female symbols. (important for understanding men)
2. interlocking wedding rings (combine with male/female symbols?)
3. male/female silhouettes embracing or kissing or holding hands. (REALLY powerful, brings home what they're here for - finding love!)
(USE THOSE! I LIKE THEM! THEY'RE ATTACHED ABOVE!)
While I'm still against hearts and pinks and reds, I actually like some of the ways you've created hearts with negative space (mountains, birds, hands, abstract dancing figures). Very impressive.
I'm also discovering that I really want things that are clean and easy to read, not overly busy or ornate. You may put in more colors than purple and teal, but don't overload the logo with hearts or leaves or flowers or birds. They distract from what's important:
Love U - Understand Men. Find Love.
As far as fonts and colors:
Start with the purple and teal of http://www.evanmarckatz.com
Start with the fonts from http://www.evanmarckatz.com
If you are going to get creative with fonts, veer towards big, bold, easy to read fonts. Ones that look like University ones. Or the Victoria's Secret Pink campaign (the font, not the color). Possibly an elegant and classy script as long as it's readable.
Finally, please make the tagline "Understand Men. Find Love" bigger and more prominent. It's important and we don't want to bury it as an afterthought.
I know this is a lot, but I want to help you win the contest and save time with revisions down the road. Hope it helps.
Thanks a million for your efforts!
