That’Sicilia! - Italian payoff: accomodati, gusta, scopri - English payoff: welcome, enjoy, discover
We are looking to design the website of a new brand, but first, we need to start with a logo.
“That’Sicilia!” is a new umbrella brand that is applied to three different business, such as: a travel agency, a hotel guesthouse and a store for Sicilian characteristic products (that will have an e-commerce website). These activities belong to the same company which is run by some friends. They feel that this is the right time to structure their communication in a better way, so they chose to put their businesses under an umbrella brand that recalls typical goodies and local craft. This new brand has to convey a unique story, it has to lead online and offline communications for all the three businesses.
1. Guesthouse is an “albergo diffuso”, i.e. a horizontal hotel, with a central building with a reception desk and the rooms located not far away in town. It is a ** hotel, but quality is definitely above average and popular for its gorgeous breakfasts with home-made food and Sicilian delicacies
2. Travel agency adds to traditional activities (tour operators, sells honeymoon getaways, flight tickets...) travel packages nearby, like gourmet tours in wineries and all inclusive trips to Monreale and Palermo
3. Store sells Sicilian characteristic products: food (jars, compotes, spices, chocolate, sweets... not fresh food), wine, liqueurs, olive oil, artistic ceramics. They are all niche goods and not sold in other stores, natural and of high quality.
As a brand, “That’Sicilia!” has to strike foreign tourists that seek for Sicilian genuineness, characteristic products and cities to discover as well as people who want to have a complete experience of Sicilian land and culture. We need a logo created that appeals to lone travelers, couples, families and groups.
The brand name conveys the idea of making a genuine experience, knowing and living authentic Sicily, with all its beautiful places to visit, its sea, its scents and tastes.
When guests come to the hotel, they are welcomed with a glass of wine and some typical food; the travel agency plans tours in Sicilian cities nearby, gourmet tour and group travel packages; the store, which is located by the guesthouse, is always open: here guests can buy a true piece of Sicily and bring it home. We can say that this is a true and full experience of Sicily.
Secondly, we want to build a big community around “That’Sicilia!” brand on social media; we want to collect all those who are lovers of Sicily; people who have already visited the island, in-livers and prospective tourists, those who would like to come at least once in a lifetime.

“That’Sicilia” logo will apply on the web site, web pages, store product packaging, off line communication documents and so on.
Each payoff verb is related to one business:
* “welcome” is related to the guesthouse;
* “enjoy” is related to the store;
* “discover” is related to the travel agency.
(Feel free to use: uppercase and lowercase, and punctuation in the payoff.)
The logo has to be customized in three versions:
- logo only
- logo and payoff (both in Italian and in English)
- logo and one payoff verb (each verb, one at a time, both in Italian and in English).
That’s why we figure it plain, played on fonts, played on the words “That’Sicilia!”, without graphic solutions or with a small one, tiny, plain and light. You can also try to differentiate the three verbs in your project. Maybe playing with colors could be the right idea.

Please, consider that the logo could also have monochrome use.
