Just basically make one word, "downlink", look very cool & unique. Think of other band or DJ logo's you've seen (Metallica, ACDC, etc...) and note that they all have a unique font / design that you can recall almost immediately. I'm not looking for something too plain though. I want this logo to be futuristic and have an outer space feel. Perhaps lots of FX and filtering or whatever you guys do will be necessary.
Wat inspireert je en hoe stel je je het ontwerp van jouw onderneming voor?
downlink is my artist name. I am a 24 year old music producer / dj that creates electronic music. I have been at this a long time but only now am I lauching this new artist name and particular spin on music. The music is heavy, futuristic, outerspace dubstep. I want a cool logo for my artist name that embodies the feel of the music and the direction I will be going with it in the future. A "downlink" is a message sent from a satellite down to the earth. In this way I like to think of my music as being from alien origin and sent to earth to make people move. I need a logo that looks wicked and makes people curious as to the music behind the logo. It will have to have a customized font!
all small letters. I'm pretty sure I want blue and black due to the outerspace nature of the name 'downlink', with perhaps some white or other slight touches of other colors. But who knows, one of you designers may have a great idea with neon green or similarly alien colors. I just don't want an overload of different colors in the design. I want it to look tough and scientific / cybernetic. It will have to be basically a totally customized font (thats what a logo is in most cases isnt it?) . Here are some examples of logos that I like. Just look for the artist name in all of these examples, ignore the other artwork on their pages.
I don't want an overload of color. I don't want anything in the logo besides the letters themselves. Slight embellishments on the letters would be acceptable (such as a satellite attached to a letter etc..) I don't want it too simple (I know some of the examples were quite simple) but I don't want too complex either. I mean I guess if you have something very simple that works then go for it.
