Wedding and corporate function band / booking agency for Tasmania, Australia.
Business Model similar to 'Baker Boys': many different musicians, bands and line-ups work under the same name, which allows for significant investment in advertising, electronic booking infrastructure, insurance etc., and also allows band and brand to work diverse genres (i.e. Jazz, Rock, R&B, Blues, Reggae, 80's etc). Tasmania is not a wealthy state, so clients are always suspicious of forking out their hard earned money. Trust is essential (they don't want a dodgy, sloppy, inconvenient experience). Tasmania (Hobart in particular) has a very 'arty' population - best approach would be for an art-savy, yet mature and refined brand personality.
1) Brides & Mother of the Brides: anxious about upcoming event, can be fussy and irrational (likes to have control over song choices etc), requiring clarity and reassurance that band and event will run smoothly, on time, charismatic, energetic, fun. Wants band to be professional but also dynamic. Key words: Professional, Dynamic, Trustworthy, Charismatic.
2) Wedding planners: want to please client (as per above), however less irrational, though more concerned with reputation and professionalism, as if they suggest a poor choice in entertainment their brand will be compromised by association. Want maturity and professionalism (easy to deal with) and something that they can 'sell' to the client that meets all the clients needs (see key words above).
3) Event planners / corporate clients: diverse needs, though this group will want to book more jazz trios, so they are far more conservative. They want to impress. They want to associate themselves with success and luxury. From a band they want no fuss, professionalism, entertainment.
See examples 'glim and sweetbeam' for font and preference for white on black. Needs a striking icon on top (prefer abstract or letter etc), perhaps with some very vibrant colour (red, orange etc). Icon should be bold, engaging (see attached 'sofitel' 'felix', 'opera').
