The Root

Description: The Root is the home for the San Francisco Bay Area Music community offering special programs, events and resources for musicians.

The Root is a non-profit, resource center offering community, mentorship, advocacy and tangible resources to San Francisco Bay Area Musicians who are serious about elevating their performing and/or recording careers. By serving as a conduit between local artists, the resources they need, and the greater Bay Area music industry, professional, legal, political and fan community, The Root seeks to anchor the San Francisco Bay Area as a premier music center. Through 1) unique community, advocacy and mentorship programs, 2) special booking, networking and workshop events, and 3) a resource and residential center (*planned for 2015), The Root nurtures opportunities and addresses the needs and challenges unique to Bay Area musicians, allowing a more sustainable music ecosystem to take root and grow.

Design should be sexy, edgy, while also business professional. Musical is ok, but not whimsical. Please do NOT do any graphic plays on the word "root" (no trees, earthy stuff, etc.).  Sharp, clean, clear, solid.
