I need a new logo for a chiropractic public speaking contest: "talk the 'tic". This contest empowers chiropractic students to become effective communicators and leaders.
Students who understand and articulate the vitalistic principle of chiropractic (referred to as "TIC") are stepping up as a unified force to address public misconceptions about what chiropractic is and does. "talk the 'tic" is the forum where this happens. Confusion is replaced with clarity, fear with confidence.
The new "talk the 'tic" logo will be the branding hallmark of the website, and will circulate on multiple forms of the competition media (applications, merchandise, etc).
The catalyst which set "talk the 'tic" in to motion was a dream I had in November '06. I moved the idea to action with the help of some dedicated friends and by Jan '07 one-tenth of the students at LifeWest (http://www.lifewest.edu) entered. It was a screaming success and is now spreading to other chiropractic schools.
I want creativity. Use the three t's in a unified symbol, design or create a concept as you see fit. I want a sense of empowerment, resolve, poignancy and victory. I want a logo that moves the student to raise their voice. The color scheme must also embody these characteristics. The logo design must lend favorably to electronic media, print, and publicity efforts.
