Hoe mlapato hun logo ontwerp begonnen

Logo should have a rustic feel to it, almost a hint of mystery to it, but still being able to tell what it is. Black/White only.

This logo should look like A FEW, SIMPLE, LOOSELY-FIT PUZZLE PIECES. And I've pictured a sort of like a "ying & yang" form, where the shapes and curves of the pieces conform to one-another.

Key elements are: farmer in a brimmed hat, sketchy flavor. Other desired elements are: plants, leaves, water, sun, plow, hoe

Emphasis on: Farmer looking down
Hat, farmers brimmed hat
symmetry, try and balance imagery

Addtl Brief Info:

Examples are hard to find, but here is an example of how I sort of had originally pictured the blending style for my logo:

Although, I want mine more compact and centralized than this example - this is a very simple, very basic-looking logo - but it contains several different elements, very cleanly, all in one small space. I could see things in my logo even sort of "intertwined", flowing into one another - and, if creative enough, having shared parts between the components. In a weird way, kind of like those pictures where you can see 2 different things, depending on how you look at it. As our artist friend was saying, a logo should "imply" its meaning in a very "subtle" manner. And that's exactly what I am looking for. I'm looking for a slightly abstract, creative, stencil-like, corporate symbol form/image in which each element is somewhat "deciphered" by the observer, rather than flat-out drawn in perfect detail.

It's weird, but a baseball logo actually sort of comes to mind, when I think very generally about the layout that I'm thinking of:

I DO want a plant element (plant, or leaf, or plant germinating from a seed, etc.) to be central to the logo. And I DO want a less-than-central, or co-central "farmer" component. I've decided that if the logo contains just these 2 elements, that's fine. The company name needs to be big and bold enough to be prominent. It should be in a font that is extremely readable, "corporate logo-worthy" - but interesting and eye-catching at the same time. And could even be in a side-by-side logo/name layout such as this:

The farmer image component that I'm wanting, is an overall, incomplete, rustic, sketch-like framework, kind of a combination of some of the farmer representations that we have seen in some of our contest entries, and similar to the incompleteness of the barn in the example, above. The farmer would blend or fade into the other element(s) - and become a one-unit logo symbol with them. It's not a portrait-like "picture". It's a simply-drawn representation that flows together. It should be more of a single unit SYMBOL than a picture . And, the more I have thought about it, the more I should just supply this guidance and that list of "additional elements", and allow the artist to create freely - picking and choosing from any or none of those items, if they want - and if/as they fit - and not necessarily including them. But definitely not trying to jam them all in.

The "farmer" image actually represents my grandpa, who I lived with on our farm, back in southern Illinois, all of my young life. He was a true farmer. My most impressionable images of him are when I would catch glimpses of him standing out in his fields, alone - in a straw hat and blue work shirt - waist-high in wheat, soybeans, or corn - looking down at his crops - face hidden by hat and shadow - contemplating. That was where he was in his true element - and truly himself. And he became something very mysterious and larger than life, when I would see him in that way. He loved nature, and making things grow and thrive - and then sharing it with others. That was his true essence - and that's what I'm trying to capture a bit of in this logo.

This is a hard logo to give examples for - because it's an original vision in my head - and I don't have the gift of artistry to get it out of my head and onto paper. It's not just a picture of a typical barn, or vegetables, or farm animals, etc. - like in most of the other millions of farm logos. It has great depth and meaning - and says TONS about me, and my company, just by looking at it. I can say that out of the hundreds of other logos that I've looked at, I haven't found a single company logo that looks like what I have envisioned. And that's EXACTLY what I WANT - because it's very unique and different. THAT'S what I need, in order for my company to come across exceptionally to customers and other companies - and to strike a bit of fear into the competition. That's what will make my company not only survive in the tough economy and highly-competitive market, out there - but to stand out in a immense SEA of companies, most of which have mediocre logos, that represent mediocre companies, with mediocre goals and attitudes. This logo is my brand, and it should be instantly recognizable. I'm not exactly sure how, but it must strike a chord in people - draw them to it - and evoke trust and respect. It should have a magical quality to it, if it's to stand out. It's the customer's first impression of my products - and the cornerstone for my marketing niche. It should have the power and punch of the most corporate of corporate logos, while still having the heart of a humble, small farmer.

The biggest point that I want to make is that, in actual form, this logo should be a much, much, MUCH simpler design than all of my tons of words and description would imply.

Here's another sort of example with some of the sort of feel that I had envisioned:

This example: http://www.ngagesolutions.co.uk/web…20Logo.bmp
has some of the desired quality - but I want my logo to have a more polished, professional look than this, versus looking like a kid drew it with a crayon.

Just for comparison - Something like this:
goes a little TOO far into the abstract. I, personally, can't look at this right off and tell you what it represents. I want my logo to have some mystery - but want everyone to still be able to tell what it is, and not have to ask.

Kraske Farms

Wat inspireert je en hoe stel je je het ontwerp van jouw onderneming voor?

I want to include the image of a farmer in a brimmed hat, looking down, sort of "incomplete" (where lines don't necessarily connect), to where it has sort of an aire of "mystery", but you can definitely tell what it is .
I would like to keep the whole thing as basic as possible - and black & white only.  With, possibly, a rustic, non-perfect feel to it -
The farmer:
-  facial features very vague, (if we even see much of his face).
-  perhaps head turned more to the right - away - and into the page to hide the face more.
-  make him an older man - little hair, or short hair
-  very sturdy and strong.
I was thinking of somehow also including representation of one, some, or all from these other possible elements, while keeping it simple:
-  plants or leaf(s)
-  water
-  sun
-  (the earth - or globe)
-  some sort of plow or hoe
Other possible additional/alternative concepts
1)  The farmer standing out in a field, in waist-high crop - maybe turned away, toward a sunset.
2)  Somehow making the elements actually forming the body of the farmer, himself.

3)  Placing some of the other elements around the farmer (other than in front of him).

- Black/White design.
- Farmer with sketch feel
- Incorporate name into logo
- End product desired is an Illustrator EPS file
