We are a Smallgoods company that will be launching a new range of premium smoked smallgoods into the retail environment.
We are currently utilizing a logo that we had created for our catering side of the business but would like some fresh new ideas/ designs.
The new range of products will encompass our passion for creating products of the absolute highest quality. The logo will go on our current products that we will be launching in the supermarkets in a couple of months. Products being Dry cured bacon, and dry cured flavored bacon, as well as a variety of flavored smoked sausages.
Our target audience are those people with a higher level of income, those who are educated when it comes to food ingredients and know how to read the ingredients in a product. Baby boomers who have a decent amount of capital to retire with and are conscious and willing to spend money on a top end product rather than commodity. Also the younger generation (22- 35) with a certain amount of disposable income that can appreciate a premium product and like the fashion of a niche product.
We feel our current logo is too old fashioned. We are premium, we make things the old fashioned way but we are not old fashioned.
We would like all your fresh ideas.
The logo will firstly be going on a black background, we will attach a label to demonstrate what we will be using, minus the current logo.
We are thinking for the black background the logo will need to be in gold.
The logo will also need to go on the back of the label. The back of the label will have a gold background, so the logo will need to be in black.
The logo will also end up on our new website once finished. So it may end up in different colors on this.
Although we would like some of the logo to include some gold, as we like the gold on black look for premium, if you feel it would look good adding other colors, please feel free to offer up any of your ideas. We are really looking forward to seeing them.
We do not want the logo to be too intricate, too fussy, have too much going on. We would like something rather simple, eye catching and that embodies our new range of products.
Although our new products are all Smallgoods, in the future we will be adding other items that are not smallgoods (eg.premium soups, stews),
so we do not want a logo that looks like it belongs to a Smallgoods producer, rather that belongs to a high end food manufacturer.
We don't want the use of the Euro symbol(€) or olympic rings
