Blue Valley Insurance Agency needs a new logo to go along with a new website design. The in-progress website design is viewable at http://bvia.banyantheory.com.
The main logo color should be approximately the same gray-blue that was used for the company's existing logo, available at http://www.bvia.com/Logo.jpg. Another acceptable color to use (if the original gray-blue is too designer unfriendly) is #4A5A78. Other like blues will be considered, but should be similar in order to stay consistent with the company's existing stationery. The website design will be updated to reflect the final logo color scheme, so please do not use the site design as a color reference. Please do, however, refer to it to make sure the logo fits the design.
Note that the logo on the demo site is just a placeholder, and neither it nor the company's existing logo should influence the new logo design.
The new logo should portray a clean, professional image of the company. It should have a transparent background, and it should be arranged in such a way that it is wide and short so as to fit in the same space as the placeholder logo. The exact dimensions of the placeholder is 356x61, but this is not a hard limit.
Only the words "Blue Valley Insurance" are required. The word "Agency" is optional, and "Inc." is also acceptable if it fits nicely within the logo. The owner expressed interest in dropping "Agency" and "Inc." from the new logo, but in general prefers whatever best fits the design.
The logo should be in vector format. Specifically, it must be able to be opened with Adobe Illustrator CS3.
Please do not contact Blue Valley Insurance directly. This contest is being held on its behalf, by Banyan Theory, LLC (http://www.banyantheory.com).
