Joint City/County Commission on Children

The mission of the Joint City/County Commission on Children (JC4) is to generate an action plan advocating for individuals below the age of eighteen and their interests; assess the general welfare of our youth; offer ways in which the key needs of those individuals can be met; and promote the healthy development of children which will ultimately benefit our entire community.

To this end JC4 will:

• Monitor and make recommendations regarding State and Federal efforts, including legislation and the Texas Commission on Children and Youth to promote children and their needs by advocating, educating, and informing policy makers, program designers/administrators, business leaders and the public regarding children's issues
• Foster coordination, collaboration, and resource sharing between governments and private entities. Develop and promote a set of guidelines to integrate government and private programs which will primarily focus on prevention and early intervention for children and their families
• Develop recommendations for Houston's and Harris County's children relating to such areas as health, education, security, safety, and employment that outlines the responsibilities for the city/county governments
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Mayor and City Council of Houston or the County Judge and Commissioners of Harris County

parents, caregivers, grandparents, soon to be moms, mothers, fathers and anybody in the city of Houston that has children under the age of 18

We are not looking for a logo that looks childish. We want something nice and new that resonates with all children under the age of 18. We are very open about colors and ideas. We are looking for a logo that will help brand this Non profit organization in the Houston metropolitan area.

As you can see from our current site, which by the way we also have a project running here at 99designs.com for the design of the site. If you are interested and winning this bid, I encourage you to come up with ideas or possible layout for the website project as well.

We want the logo to read JC4KIDS.org. The name stands of Joint City/County Commission on Children and it should say it on the logo as well.
