Logo Needed for Hi-Tech Stealth Mode Startup About to Launch

We are a stealth mode hi-tech startup in the process of launching ourselves and our first product. This makes our logo that much important - it will get a lot of exposure and should thus represent us well. Our product is for mobile internet consumers, though future versions might include pc as well. We have a grand vision, novel ideas and we use cutting edge technology - from cloud computing to mobile apps.

Our first version of the product will target mobile internet users in the U.S., though future versions and products will target all internet consumers (not just mobile - pc, ipad, etc as well) and expand to additional countries as well.

The company logo we are looking for should be clean, unique and catchy. Not looking for something childish, but we are open to fun logos. Our company name is IvyHorseman - note the spelling - capital I and capital H - one word. This logo will also be used in our products as well.

The website we have in the works has blue and black/shades of black/gray. You can see an example of the blue we use in the images attached (file called lava.gif). However, you can/should experiment with colors - and we would like instructions of how we can change colors if possible.

We will use this logo in our website, mobile (android first) app splash screen and as the icon of our mobile app (size range from 72x72 px to 36x36 px). Therefore, we should be able to change the size of the logo, and the logo should still be "recognizable" in smaller sizes as well.

As for file format - we don't have photoshop, but we do have gimp for editing regular images (png, etc) and Inkscape for editing vector graphics. If there are special instructions of how to resize the logo please include those - we will use gimp/inkscape to try it out.
