Perry Pottery / Poterie Perry (in French)
We're Mark and Nicole, a husband and wife team looking for a LOGO for a new on-line pottery website called: Perry Pottery (in English) and Poterie Perry (in French).
Nicole is the potter; Mark takes care of the website.
"I believe in surrounding oneself with beautiful things that are useful. That's why I create pottery that is both functional and artistic."
"My pottery is made to be enjoyed, whether it's eating out of a handmade cup, bowl or plate, or admiring a gallery-style vase or ornament."
"My creations will not be the most expensive out there, but they will not be the cheapest either. I'm looking for a customer who is ready to pay a little extra to get that special, handmade item that's totally different from what they'll find in stores like IKEA or The Pottery Barn."
"Think of my pieces as classy and country chic."
"Perrypottery.com will have something special for anyone looking for unique coffee cups, exotic sushi plates and ceremonials bowls, one-of-a-kind vases, weird and wonderful teapots and much much more!"
"Please check out: http://gallery.me.com/markdavidperry for a sampling of my work."
People and companies looking to own or give their clients homemade, one-of-a-kind gifts or art pieces.
Upscale bistros and coffee shops that serve fine foods on handmade pottery can also be interested in our offerings.
People of all ages buy pottery; however, the typical buyer is a female shopper who loves beautiful things for her home and office.
We also want to attract men who are looking for a place to buy top-quality gifts for themselves or others.
In other words, the LOGO must attract individuals as well as corporate clients and not be gender based.
We'd like to start with the English and French LOGO and then work with a designer on the website and other marketing materials.
We’re looking for a LOGO that communicates high quality, trust, dependability, and creativity. Again, not gender based.
We’re not looking for a “homey” or a “country” feel to the logo. Think "classy".
Same applies to the font, the graphic element (s) and colors.
All should suggest honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty, confidence and technical skill.
This means no cartoons or tacky graphic using smiling pots, cups, plates, etc. But of course, don’t hold back. We love surprises.
The logo will also be used for print and video.
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
Originality and creativity are key.
Again, please check out: http://gallery.me.com/markdavidperry to stimulate your imagination and to see the variety and quality of Nicole’s work.
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
We hope this is the beginning of a long term relationship!
Good luck to all!
Nicole and Mark
