The Murray Group
For 36 years, we have done business under the Guilderland Agency name. Currently, we are undergoing some new branding changes and our new name is going to be The Murray Group (TMG). We operate a family owned insurance agency in Albany, NY and specialize in providing personal insurance (car, home, renters insurance), commercial insurance for business (property, liability, workers comp, etc) and employee benefits (group health insurance, group disability and life insurance, etc). We are a small business that currently has about 15 employees.
We are looking to re-brand ourselves to go from a regional insurance agency into a bigger "player" in our market. Our clients are located throughout the country. We need to update our image, totally re-do our logo, and need your help!
Our clients are both individuals (of all ages) and businesses (small and large size) countrywide. Our clients and prospects expect us to be extremely professional and competitive in terms of the product we deliver them. The insurance industry is a very competitive marketplace.
Our initial thought regarding our logo was to creatively arrange the letters T, M and G. The letters can overlap or not overlap. We also thought about making the M the feature letter with the T and the G still part of the logo but not play a prominent role like the M would. Therefore, please be creative with letter placement. Also, please incorporate "The Murray Group" name in the logo (above, below, or to the side of the TMG logo). Therefore, the entire logo would be the T, M, and G arranged in a creative way with "The Murray Group" name.
We would like the overall logo to portray: professionalism and strength. Therefore, designing a logo that is modern, clean and relatively simple is what we were thinking of. We are looking for the letters T, M, and G to become our logo and be recognizable to the point where people know when they see the logo that it is The Murray Group that it is referring to. Feel free to add a shape (one that is strong looking such as a square or diamond) to the logo. We do not want to logo to look soft (please do not use: 1)script or cursive font ((we prefer an Arial type font)), or 2) shapes that are curved or circular that tend to give off a "softer feel").
Colors to be used: black, shades of gray, and maroon. Feel free to use just 2 of the colors if you think it looks better.
