We're building a new social network for poker & gambling enthusiasts titled Poker Nations.  It will be focused on bringing together enthusiasts and resources from across the globe into one place to share their love of the game.

The design should easily translate to not only our website header as a logo, but also onto shirts, hats, female groupies naughty bits, poker chip inlays, etc.

In addition, you might consider the web 2.0 elements, such as talk bubbles.  This site is essentially going to be a myspace/facebook for poker enthusiasts.  So you could do the logo with the words Poker Nations (and a small .com underneath somewhere) and then have a talk bubble coming from the Poker that displays poker-themed elements.  And a talk bubble coming from the Nations that displays more global elements (perhaps the water and continents within the talk bubble, or various national flags, etc)
