This logo will be used online primarily, in a portal setting where many different kinds of games can be played. We are focusing on the social aspects of gaming more than typically found in social network games.
Target audience male, 20's to 40's. Gamers who were avid video game players before but now, for whatever reason, have less time to play games than before. We are not targeting complete newbie gamers.
The company name, Forty Humans, has double meaning in that it implies "For Humans". In spelling of the name, we may spell it "FORty HUMANS". Logo treatments can play with this double meaning with FORTY HUMANS being FOR HUMANS. In general, the logo should be fun and somewhat tongue-in-cheek since we are a fun game company.
The samples are mockups we did that has the elements of: rounded, bold fonts; 40 little people holding hands; idea they're boarding a spaceship or perhaps entering into an arcade cabinet. The logo should incorporate these or similar elements. While we are using retro fonts in one of the mockups, the look should not be too overtly retro-looking. The logo will be used against a orangish backdrop. The logo will be shown at the top of the website, therefore it must work scaled down to a size typically used for logos on websites
The image (spaceship, arcade cabinet, etc) accompanying the text must work standalone without the company name, in a rectangular image format typically found on social network posts. For example, facebook posts images are 90px by 90px.
The logo may be used accompanying the slogan: "Putting the social in social games." Don't incorporate into the logo design, but just be aware of it.
