MAXbarbell, http://www.maxbarbell.com, has been in operation since February 2010. We specialize in weightlifting and fitness products that help you perform your best when lifting a barbell and when training in the gym. One of our best selling products has been weightlifting shoes. We also sell freestanding pull up bars, weightlifting belts and lifting straps. We will be expanding our line of products in the near future. Most items will be related to the barbell in one way or another.
Our website is faily clean looking with not too much clutter or over design. Any new logo should look good with the existing website. Anything the least bit cheesy is a no-no.
New logo should induce the following emotions/words: Strength, power, maximum effort, strong, no-nonsense, performance.
Males and Females, 16-45. Primarily people interested in weightlifting, Olympic weightlifting, bodybuilding (checkout http://forum.bodybuilding.com/forum…y.php?f=26, powerlifting and general strength training. Many of our customers also do Crossfit (see crossfit.com and crossfit messageboard http://www.board.crossfit.com/).
- Logo should include word “MAX” and “barbell”.
- The word “MAX” should be uppercase.
- The word “barbell” should be in lowercase.
Please take a look at our website to see the current simple logo and get a feel for the company:
One idea we had was to make the X in the word MAX look like it is pressing a barbell above its head. The bar between the weight plates could possibly be made from the word “barbell”. Or the word “barbell” could follow after the X. Please see the attached file for a crude attempt at this idea. (The X could look more human like). This X could even be doing split jerk as in the photograph (also attached). We are also open to other creative ideas.
Logo should will be placed on black background, however it would be good to have a version that can be used on a white background for emails, etc. We kind of like the current color scheme of red and white on black; however we are open to other colors.
