The public awareness and interest in all things “green” is creating a demand for nurses to understand the relationship between human health and the environments in which we live, learn, work, and play.
The Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments is a national organization that convenes individual nurses and nursing organizations to promote healthy people and healthy environments.
Our organization is embarking on a year-long campaign to reach out to Nurses asking them to take a Pledge to create Healthy Environments where they work and live -- we will have a different focus each month - from eating organic foods to changing the products used in hospitals and improving recycling programs.

The Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments is reaching out to all nurses around the world and asking them to take "The Nurse's Pledge for Healthy Environments" in 2011.
We are looking for a graphical identity (logo/colors/style) for this "pledge".
This is for NURSES not doctors or hospitals but for the individual Nurse. You can use iconic images for nurses (nurse cap, red cross, stethoscopes, etc)
The obvious color choices are blues and greens - we are not opposed to these - but we are okay for you to be CREATIVE and think outside the usual "eco-color" scheme.
We think the logo should probably contain a graphic of the "earth" in some way, but it does not have to be literal.
Feel free to send a question along.
PS -- The image attached is just an example of one hospital's logo... it's just inspiration
