This will be the logo for my personal brand: Theovercoming (the-overcoming) as I recover from breaking my neck and work to not need a wheelchair.
It will ALSO be for the second business that is video tutorials and education on HOW to recover – at-home lessons, exercises, anatomy education, techniques for traveling independently after injury, etc.
So, Theovercoming, and Theovercoming Academy are the businesses.
My main concepts: isolate, iterate, integrate.
The emphasis is on breaking things down to understand what they are, playing and tinkering to determine the properties of each component, then integrating them into a cohesive whole.
Break apart, tinker with it, put back together.
I am an engineer, so the geometric quality is important.
LASTLY, here are two versions of the Armadillo, my mascot/emblem, that I have. I want it CIRCULAR, relating to the cycle of life, cycle off understanding, and cycle of the hero's journey of OVERCOMING an obstacle.
I want an ORANGE palette with some GREEN.
NOTE that the first design is angular pen drawing, second one is smooth electronic. I want to BRIDGE THE GAP between geometric, shading, angular, to the smoother version.
Possible idea to represent 3-part approach: deconstruct in first phase (section of logo?), rearrange in second phase, REconstruct in third phase.
Please consider how the design would look if printed in one color on a t shirt... is there negative space for it to stand out?
do the colors and shapes get too complicated?
can you draw its geometry in just a few strokes of a pencil? thats what i want, a bit simpler...but finding a way to communicate some depth with that simpler geometry...
about the head: please face it to the RIGHT, and have it be 'accessible', but not submissive...this is about overcoming paralyzed muscles, connecting to the body again, about getting INSPIRED to change oneself, and inspiring others in that process. looking up to the future!
