We're a cool little wine-making shop in one of Vancouver's hippest shopping districts: Commercial Drive. The new owners love the plane/bottle concept and the marketing imagery it evokes as each month we jet off to explore a new wine-growing region. However, the current logo has a definite 'fighter' aspect to it that is not at all what we're about. We envision something that more reflects a small turbo-prop plane used to explore the far reaches of the world...or maybe a 'Casablanca'-esque airliner from a time when air travel was a very special event with fine food served on real china.

Shoppers love The Drive for its endless selection of cafes and ethnic restaurants (Italy and Portugal are well represented), delis, owner-operated boutiques, vegetable stands and specialty stores. Not at all touristy, The Drive is for locals who can be price-conscious but more importantly they are environmentally sensitive, prefer to shop locally, have a strong belief in community and love Canada's west coast. Specifically, our customers range from wine aficionados building up their wine cellars to working folk who just want a budget table wine. Our industry's customers tend to be over forty however TGEW's customers skew much younger (over thirty) because of The Drive and also our efforts to promote the positive environmental impact we can help people make in their lives. The quality of the finished wine is excellent and the presentation (with labels and shrink tops) is as good as any store bought; our customers are proud to share the fruits of their labour.
Today we're seeking a redo of the plane/bottle logo as a vector drawing (AI) on a transparent background.
Specifically the wings need to be swept back in a less aggressive fashion. We don't mind the current bottle. We could envision the plane including the tail, landing gear, propeller engines, or other details, but we also don't want it to be too cluttered. We like the sort-of 'graphic novel' feeling of the current version.
We've included the existing artwork for reference. We'll likely be using the new colours and background shown in the "TGEW-demo.png" example. In the example, the plane is being seen from below in a fairly steep take-off...feel free to suggest adjusting the angle and view on the plane a bit. Keep it fun with maybe a bit of "Indiana Jones".
