Empire International Energy Services
Empire International Energy Services is an independent oil and gas field services company with offices in Canada, Germany and Romania and customers in Canada, Germany, Romania, Russia, Poland, Oman, Nigeria, Hungary, and several other Eastern European countries. It has subsidiary companies which engineer, manufacture and supply oil and gas well servicing equipment to international markets.
The company requires a powerful visual identity, beginning with a corporate logo and name brand ID that reflects its primary connection with the global oil and gas industry.
The logo should help position Empire as a capable, experienced, technologically-advanced company in its field.
Empire's market is comprised of companies that are involved in exploration, drilling, and production in the petroleum industry around the world. Customers cover a wide spectrum, from small local operators to multi-national oil companies. It's a macho industry - powerful hi-tech equipment often working in challenging locations, like deserts, offshore, or the frozen north.
The logo will be used in all corporate communications, including a corporate website.
Potential investors are also a communications target, so the logo should enhance the company's strength, credibility and future potential. (I know, I know ... that's a tall order for one little logo, but you can do it :-) ... Amaze me.)
Obviously, the logo should be strong (but not threatening) ... industrial on a global scale... bold, clean, symbolic shapes would be appropriate. The logo should somehow include the text - "Empire International Energy Services", either by itself or in combination with a symbolic graphic component.
The client has no specific color preference, but colors should probably also be bold and radiant. Not to impose design restrictions, but "energy" suggests heat - red, orange, yellow. Burning hydrogen & natural gas flames are blue, sometimes with orange. Again, no restrictions, but I don't really see pastel greens and lavender hues here.
