Stark Insider (Tag Line: "all things west coast" with registration mark at end)
Stark Insider is an online magazine about west coast living. The site features stories, blog posts, videos (interviews, backstage tours at live shows, wineries), and photo spreads on the following topics: food, wine, theater, arts, travel.
Stark Insider is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
We are currently re-branding an existing site and need a logo that is clean, memorable and fun. (non-corporate)
The current site can be seen here: http://www.starksilvercreek.com
Stark Insider will be quoted by various sites (Engadget, Huffington Post), newspapers (San Jose Mercury News) and theaters so the logo should convey credibility.
Despite “Insider” as part of the name, this is not a “tabloid” or rag of any kind (not that there’s anything wrong with that!).
San Francisco Bay Area
25-50 years old
Men and women
Enjoy living to max: getting out to see shows, wine tasting, socializing, discussing arts, latest trends
Affluent, spend disposable income on arts and entertainment
The logo will be used for: the web site, business cards, social networking (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), email footer, in videos and ads.
Key attributes: intelligent, luxury, sophisticated, fun, warm (California), west coast.
Logo style: magazine, blog.
Looking for 1 logo in 2 versions:
1. Main logo “Stark Insider” (no tag line)
2. Main logo “Stark Insider” (with tag line “all things west coast” with round "R" registration mark at end)
Logo should use capital "S" and capital "I" like: "Stark Insider". If either word is bigger or emphasized it should be "Stark".
Open to just about any color palette, but should match existing site palette "brandywine pub" (http://kuler.adobe.com/#themeID/310899).
We like the AOL Living family of logos (slashfood, parentdish, shelterpop, that's fit, etc.):
Logo should include full color and black/white version.
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Vector format strongly preferred.
