I am from Miami, Florida, born and raised. I am a female who turns 40 next month, however I don't feel or look forty. I am ambitious, motivated, assertive, and kind. I love to laugh! My interests include my one and only child; my 7 year old Diva named .....Nina. I love music, all kinds, except classical. I love singing out loud in my car with the music blasting. I like my manicures and pedicures to match. I love traveling all the time to anywhere and everywhere if I could. I enjoy learning about new things, people and places, good conversation, shopping, beach, going out on the boat with good friends, a good movie, good food, trying new experiences, great friends, and I love my parents. I will not, out of fear, go skydiving or bungee jumping...or scuba diving (I might panic down there). I do like to fish, but don't get around to it often.
Onto some background info about me. After completing my graduate degree, I spent the last 18 years working in the non-profit world (worked in one job for 16 years) eventually working my way up to the VP of inpatient and residential services for a large non- profit, behavioral health organization in South Florida. Last year I decided that I needed to make a change in my life as my job had me working around the clock (literally), 24/7, and it was taking a toll on me physically, mentally and emotionally. The industry, as you can imagine, is extremely taxing when you put your heart and soul into helping those that have extreme challenges and traumas that will never leave them. I decided my time was up, I was burnt-out, I wanted to do what was so fun way back when...and get back to a happy place (for my sake and my daughter's); I had become the executive mom, with two smart phones in hand at all time, then add-on the iPad, and laptop. Ridiculous!
So I thought back to my early college days when I loved fashion, make-up,jewelry, etc. and contemplated making a career out of it. I worked in the industry for a while and had a blast! Well... that was not my parents' idea of a career (did I mention they were Cuban immigrants who came to the USA with nothing, married, and created "the Cuban cliche success story". Im very proud of them for it, yet couldn't convince them or myself at the time fashion and beauty can be a profession.
Now to my new company. I'd like my logo to match my style as I am the face of the company. I'm a mix of: classic & elegant, fun and funky but never outrageous, always loving pink (fuschia-ish), black is a staple, a little sparkly in the right places works, "all in good taste", & sometimes trendy to liven things up. I like to wear the jewelry I buy and sell. I am the type that loves a nice pair of jeans with a simple tank top and some fashion jewelry and funky shoes to finish off the look, and a classic beautiful purse of course. Sexy is good too but must be age appropriate. In summary, the accents (jewelry, make-up, shoes and purse) are my funkier side while my wardrobe tends to be more classic and elegant. That description is a good description of how I envision my company and the logo. I will cater to variety of stylish teens to women of all ages. I have something for everyone. Quality is important to me! Never cheap, always reasonable and in great taste. You will be noticed, not broke. That said, I challenge you to take this wherever your talent and creativity leads. Lastly, my logo will be used to brand my company as I envision it today and where I land tomorrow. Have fun with it! I look forward to the outcome of the talents I've seen on this site.
