Turbochargers (turbos) are big in diesel performance. Was wondering if the letters L D and P could be brought out in the logo by the way of turbo clip/abstract art. Three turbos on an engine is not uncommon and they are linked together with pipes. The logo could be straight across with LDP on one "line" or perhaps a triangle form with D above. Not sure if designer would have to use a lower-case d to support the turbo look. Then the slogan listed could just be incorporated in general text below. Black and white is impactful and desired. If there was anything around the LDP logo, perhaps something with a tattoo-feel without being over the top. Uploaded turbo clip art where you can likely understand how you can get an L D and P out of it. The letters in the turbos are not required, but they need to be incorporated somewhere if not. In the end, we are not married to any particular design. The ideas conveyed were just some initial thinking.
Again, turbos do not have to be in the LDP, but should be in the logo somehow. The design needs to appeal to those with big performance diesel pickups, think 4x4s not commercial vehicles, as well as consumers bringing their automobiles for service. The BY DAFF and FIVE SAINTS DISTILLING logos I selected in the brief are very appealing. I like the scroll work in BY DAFF as it gives that tattoo feel I described. Owner is very partial to angel wings, so the Five Saints wings could be used in the background to soften the aggressive note. But needs to be masculine.
