I help people that sell automotive parts. These people are called automotive part retailers. The software that I write, helps these retailers help their customers to find the correct parts for the customer's vehicle.
My website is http://www.vehiclefits.com - I want something done possibly within the automotive theme, or possibly just clean & simple. Either way I think I'd like there to be something more than just letters in my logo.
Please see the youtube video on my homepage, at the end of it where it lists my contact info and the red footage of the car plays in the background, I like the direction he went in with my video and I would like to incorporate that into the identity maybe.
Either way I just need something clean & powerful. You'll also notice my existing "ne8" logo, I like that logo. There should probably be something in the new logo that says "A division of Ne8".
Here's another idea. "Ne8. Formulate. Articulate". Or: "Ne8, Innovate." (I like the latter because it simpler).
Get really creative. Stay away from any single "vertical market" (ex. 12% sell wheels, 12% sell tires, 12% sell suspensions, and so on. So don't target any specific part). But bonus points if you break this rule and still design a kick ass logo. Here's another idea, what if there was little circles under the logo and each one masked out some small photo, to show that the software is made for varying "verticals" (suspension, wheels, rims, wheel adapters, tires, motorcycles, atvs)
An example of something I like is the 99designs logo. An example of what I don't like is google's logo. Too busy. Looks like the Olympic rings or something.
