Screen #1 needed: Main Screen
Along the top: Users search the huge range of topics in different ways - using their finger to spin the "rolodex" in the middle of the page, type keyword(s) directly into the "Search" box and/or use a magnifying roll-over feature to skip right to one leading letter of the alphabet or click on topics by grade-level.
Lower left corner: There is a "Share!" button for users that brings up a way to easily recommend the app to others.
Lower right corner: There is a "Trending Top 10" for users to click to another page that filters the posts showing the overall/current most popular topics.
Bottom line: There are FIVE buttons titled - home, who, what, when, why+how - that navigate users to other important pages (who: profile info and "about us" info - what: explanation of app, rules for posting, announcements, etc - when: the place where bookmarked/reviewed posts are saved and - how+when is the messenging/chat room feature where people can post specific questions/concerns in a public forum.
Screen #2 needed: Topic + tips screen
the "topics + tips" screen. To signify the "top 10" tips under each topic - instead of a trophy icon, I want to go with a "golden apple" image as the first/far left icon followed by the title of the tip (in 10 words or less), the link (website, article, blog post, whatever it is) all in line with that apple image. Then, directly under all that, I want 5 stars (filled in gold for the rating level and the others greyed out) with '52 reviews' next to it and a thumbs up icon with a number next to it (to show who just "liked" the tip). That's all that should show at first look on this screen (so that 4 or 5 posts can fit on the screen at one time - just like how Yelp does their review screen page!).. there should be some indication (like dots, or a greyed out small "read more" type thing so that you can click on that tip to see it in full). When seeing it in full, underneath the reviews will be the explanation of why this user posted this tip (in 110 words or less) and with pros: (10 words or less) and cons: (10 words or less). Then, under THAT, will have an "i" icon (so users can click on it to be directed to that person's profile info for further contact/messaging if desired), the person's name/nickname, their school/district/distinction (ie: ICCSD/Math teacher), date of the post, a bookmark icon, and a flag icon (to report if there's an issue).
As for the profile page: this is my updated request for what's on there with their photo in a circle at the top or to the left...
