Kram Records
Underground electronic music label
needs an album cover for
Kramnik 'Dark Matters' remixes EP
Now that my new Kram Records logo has been designed right here at 99designs (by Mishev), I have to design an album cover for my 'Dark Matters' remixes ('Dark Matters' is the name of my album).
Basically, we need a cool design for en EP cover with 5 underground electronic tracks. As a musical reference, here is my 'Dark Matters' album:

Tracks (10): http://www.soundcloud.com/kramnik
I don't really want to provide you with any specific guidelines for the cover. It's better for you to hear the music and use this online shop as a reference (the number one shop for electronic music). Here you can see all sorts of EP designs that can work as reference, and you can scroll through different genres to see different styles:
Attched you will find the Kram Records logo, which has to go in the cover, along with this other information:
- Kramnik: 'Dark Matters'
- Part 1
- Remixes by: Timo Maas, Hernan Cattaneo, Ben Sims
I have also uploaded the old 'Dark Matters' cover and a press photo with the owl. Even though we don't want to use the owl photo in the new cover, it's good to keep in mind that the owl is our logo (as you can see in Kram Records). The owl idea could be a good idea for the cover, but I'm not sure about having my photo in the cover.
Just like the owl is our logo and mascot, another possible idea is the particle accelerator in Geneva called LHC, where they are looking for the so called 'God Particle' (the Higgs Boson), and where they are investigating actual dark matter. 'Dark matter' and 'dark energy' makes up 95% of the universe, but we don't know what it's made of....
Another thing to keep in mind is that our colors are white/grey and green (as you can see in the Kram Records logo), and also that the remixers on this EP are the most important information on there.
In reality we have to create two slightly different covers, because there will be a part 2, but the difference will be extremely small (different color or something). But I don't think we have to worry about that at the beginning, and we can make that small change in the finalist stage.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanx for participating!
