I need help designing the cover of Innodata's new annual report. Please see the attached annual report cover from last year. It has the right look and feel. A sharp, colorful image surrounded by nice empty white space. We want to continue to use that modern, sleek look. In fact, I can almost guarantee that the winning design will have a background that is "clean" and "modern".
This year, we want to show all the amazing functionality that is possible with digitally published content. We want to show that is possible to:
- integrate social media into the reading experience. (like reading a book and typing in notes that are read by your friends)
- integrate video into the reading experience. (like reading a cookbook and clicking on a video tutorial in the middle of it)
- integrate user interactions into the reading experience. (like reading a textbook and taking quizzes to test your knowledge in the middle of a chapter)
To summarize, we want to show publishers that there is a brave new world out there of possibilities for their traditional content. Create an image that communicates that message and we have a winner.
One more thing: we have an important rule in our company. No pictures of people are permitted in the design. Our focus is on the devices and the content in them, not the user.
