Family owned businesses have been in the market for centuries and make up almost 80% of the economy. However, a majority of these businesses are unaware of family business consultants and the services they provide. Therefore the target audience is family members within a family owned business, and professionals (i.e. financial advisors, laywers, accountants) who work for a family owned business whose expertise may be limited in helping the family solve certain problems and may want to refer them to a consultant.
We are trying to create a design that represents the business model. Families have issues and business have issues, so when these two entities overlap the problems that arise are unique and the skill sets needed are unique as well. Each associate has a specific skill set that can be used to help address and help specific issues or problems a family owned business may face. They are: 1) Family Dynamics 2) Strategic Planning 3) Governance 4) Conflict Resolution and Legal Mediation.
The concept for this business model design can be described like this:
Two circles within each other. The inner circle, saying "family" and the outer circle with "business" written in it. Then we would like each of the 4 skills mentioned above to be placed in arrows, circles, sqaures or whatever loooks best around the outside of the circle. Please feel free to play around with this concept as much as you want! (i.e. when I say circle, it doesn't have to be a circle!)
