NOTE: ** Concepts or sketches only are fine. This contest is not for finished artwork **
A large and growing part of the fleet consists of low-emission vehicles. All are white. Artwork for the Toyota Prius is provided. Designs should work for this shape but not depend on it–the design must be adaptable to other sedans.
The design requires:
A: the ‘base’ branding. This consists of the nameplate with the words “Department of Justice” and the Victorian State Government slogan (portrait or landscape). The nameplate is usually orange (R222 G135 B3) but an alternative pallet may be used. The Victoria logo/slogan must be R0 G64 B122
B. ‘Dressing up’. The car decked out for the Sherriff’s office: that means adding the badge, high-visibility markings, and a slogan “Collecting unpaid fines”.
We want to see B (front, side and rear) but it has to build on A. Put it another way: all cars will have the A treatment; to some the B treatment will be added.
Finished art is not required. We are looking for ideas and concepts—a fresh, innovative and imaginative response to what our vehicles could look like. Don’t get bogged down in technical detail about the visibility patches.
The vehicles must be eye-catching and convey authority without being aggressive. These are NOT police cars
The department’s visual identity makes use of a 10 degree angle on design elements. Your design should include elements that are sloped at 10 degrees. Feel free to ask questions.
