Hi Everyone,
I’m running another contest ;) this one is for the Uno project. 99Designs has really been amazing and I’ve used everyone of the contests so far.
I am a 20 yr old engineering student at MIT.
I have always loved motorcycles having grown up watching Monster Garage and Junkyard Wars. My Opa was an engineer and I spent countless hours playing in machine shops as a kid. I also like extreme sports and have started an extreme sports company which builds this really cool powered snowboard/skateboard called the DTV Shredder ( http://www.bpg-werks.com )
Good Luck everyone!
Since we're developing a brand around these new vehicles. Hopefully the target audience is pretty big.
I think the Uno appeals to both motorcycle enthusiasts and green activists as well as urban commuters. It has something for everyone. It's small, compact, entirely electric and fun. It is a viable alternative to gas powered scooters, bikes and mopeds. I see the demographic being people between the ages of 18-35
This is REALLY OPEN ENDED. This is an open design contest to see how you would envision a small compact urban commuting vehicle. The new Uno is completed (the transforming system) we now know that it is possible and works.
I want to see how you would design it?
I want vehicle designs, NO LOGOS.
I’m looking for concept sketches/renderings/designs for your version of a small motorcycle like vehicle that would be appropriate in dense cities.
Don’t be restricted in your ideas, anything is possible… (some ideas to get you started are: unicycles, trikes, extendable motorcycles, bikes that stretch out as you go faster....)
I’m a fan of transforming ideas, where as the vehicle speeds up, it changes into a more stable platform, but I am open to all ideas.
I have some old concept stuff on my website http://www.bpg-motors.com
The winning designer will become part of the new design team and we will take part in the next design phase with a real prototype.
I’m really looking forward to seeing these entries and working with the winner.
