Easy money! Footer and blog layout required

Spudaroo.com needs a great footer design thats cute and fun. I have some pretty firm ideas on whats needed for this. Think sites like http://www.aurum3.com/ and http://www.getmiro.com/publish/

I also need a layout for our blog that keeps the blog beautifully simple but features the site header, new footer and cute layout. Current web design is here;

So take the existing header, add blog content including articles, comments, recent tweets, permalinks etc.

Blog needs to display recent tweets, articles, comments, flag comment, RSS feed.

Please pay attention to the colours used in the current site design and the button styles, use of gloss and reflection etc.
