My goal has always been to have a website that mimics the same experience audiences get when they watch our films. We strive to make films that get people interested, excited and optimistic while staying genuine to the roots and story of the companies we work with.
The reason we need a new website is that we want to strengthen our brand image. And our films dive people deep into understanding the brand and wanting to buy it better then anyone else out there.
My idea is to visually move people through the website the way one would move through a film or storyboard. I don't want this to literally happen but want people to be able to click the next tab or button to read more and feel compelled visually to see the story of the website on fold.
I envision the website having four pages and each background image to move people through the story of a race. The idea being we start from the dock and sun rising, to boat out on the water and eventually the medal stand.
I am looking for a designer who can take this initial idea and these photos and build off them. Creating more style and blending them together to look as if they are four scenes from a movie. I also want the designer to add a cool menu option as well as a few other elements on each page. My biggest thing here is I want the entire page (or scene) to blend together seamlessly and not look like a contact form copied over an image.
Here are basic outlines for each of the four pages:
1) The landing page/ video page. I want this page to showcase either the films we have done or brands we have worked with (or both if this can be done cleanly). The background image I want is something like the first one below. A very stylized, saturated and vibrant colored sky with a mountain rage, lake and dock heading toward the horizon. Debating about cutting out part of the bottom image and having the rowers about to put boat into water. Not sure if the perspective of this works.
2) "Creative Process" This will be primarily text and tell potential clients who we are and how we create films. It will outline our three packages. Background images I'm thinking are labeled "screen 2..." .
3) "Our Crew" This will feature the biographies in the about me page we have currently. I want this background image to use either of the photos titled "Henley".
4) "Contact" simple contact form. Background image I would love to turn the one labeled "Contact" into a silhouette or blurring the image or doing something to not have faces but merely the image of people with hands in the air.
Once rough design is locked I will go ahead and buy rites to all photos and send them your way so you can make all necessary adjustments and feel free to use other then the ones below we just wanted to tell; the story of a boat getting off the dock and winning at the end.
Hoping to find a way to have the four images, and color schemes blend to make it look like a time lapse of a team getting up in the morning, getting on the water, racing and then winning (these match the four pages).
Finally our current website you can see at:
LOOKING FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU!
