We are redesigning an application for a property marketing company. The application allows Estate Agents to login and submit orders for properties to be photographed and floor plans made. The company administrators and photographers also log in to view the jobs and operate the business using this application. In addition to the current contest, we hope that we would like to be able to continue further designs with the winner on this project and others.
Wat is jouw visie?
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PDF "99 Designs Brief" FOR BETTER FORMATTING OF THE TASK BELOW There are many pages that need redesigning within this application which we will invite the winner to continue to help us on after the contest. For the contest we are going to focus on the order detail page and the general application layout. There will be a 100px Header & Footer Banner added to the application in the colour #424A5F - Just add these banners into your design but you do not need to put any content within it. The company's main colour is #00a19a With accompanying colour of #424A5F which needs to be maintained throughout the application. The page you will be redesigning needs to be user friendly, sharp and modern. It will need to look good on big monitors as well as being limited to 960px wide. If you can make a mobile view also that would be good but we will perhaps tackle that later. Please ensure that: • We have On Hover/Active/Disabled versions of Icons/Links/Buttons/Fields • You maintain existing * (Asterix) for required fields (although you can redesign) and provide a warning when the required box is not filled. Attached is the current layout of the Order Page in View Mode and Edit Mode. In addition to redesigning the layout of this page we need to make the following changes: Please note that where I have written (i) this is an on hover information popover. We will need one designed and placed wherever requested. You can see an existing example on the attached page next to the field labelled “Floor Plan Redraw”. 1. Redesign the main Navigation Bar – Dashboard, Orders, Clients etc… This can be along the top or down the left as you see fit. 2. Redesign the current logged in user – This is currently shown in the top right as an icon and the text “Alex” – Use a headshot thumbnail of the person instead of the current icon. 3. Move the following Actions & Subpage Navigation options to a new Actions & Navigation area (no need to label the area) – Keep in mind that some actions will not be visible to all users so the navigation area will need to still look good if options are removed or the page width is increased/decreased a. Group the following Subpage Navigation Options, either maintaining the current icons or producing something new. We need these to stand out as Navigation rather than page actions and we need to be able to see which page we are currently on. i. Summary (This is the page we are redesigning) ii. 0 Photos (0 Could be any number) iii. Floor Plan & EPC b. Move Status (Currently at the bottom of the page) i. Status Dropdown ii. Date/Time Field – Also provide Date & Time Picker Popover c. Add History Icon with a History Popover showing i. Order Placed: DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM ii. SMS Reminder Sent: DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM iii. Booking Time: DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM iv. Completed: DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM d. Add Notification Button with Popover featuring the following actions i. Send E-mail Update Button ii. SMS Notification (Tick Box) iii. Send SMS Notification Button e. Create New Action “# Matches” – This is a tool to link a previous job to the one being worked on (# = a number) i. This icon is in two states 1. 0 Matches – The icon should not stand out 2. 1 or more Matches – The icon should be highlighted ii. Upon Click this will provide a Drop Down/Popover with information as per the attached Smart Search Drop Down but with the following Changes 1. Redesign to match your new layout 2. The heading currently showing “2 Results Found” to become a text box Search Field 3. Add thumbnail column to each result line - This will be a head shot thumbnail 4. Provide the following Actions on the right of each entry either text or symbol a. Link b. Ignore 5. Linked Jobs should be featured at the top of the list and any other jobs listed below with a horizontal separator f. Group the following two actions – Currently found in “Summary Information) i. Edit (This button changes the page from View to Edit order) ii. Delete 4. Redesign the Assigned Photographer Field – This is a dropdown and can be found underneath the Reports & Calendar Buttons. This is to be updated as follows. a. Make section bigger so as to accommodate the following information i. Thumbnail Headshot of Photographer ii. Name – E.g. John Smith iii. Mobile Number b. Please still provide functionality of drop down to select a different Photographer c. You will see under the messages section on the current Edit Page a duplicate “Assigned To:” Field. This can be deleted. 5. Summary Information – We need some sort of summary for the following information near the top of the page. You choose how to display. a. Order ID or Order # b. Order Date c. Client – Allow for two lines of data E.g. i. Smithfields Estate Agents Ltd ii. High Wycombe Branch d. Address – At least 1 line but depending on how much space you have to play with the full address (4 lines) could be good e. Invoice – Which has two separate sub values i. Agent - #12345 ii. Vendor- #54321 6. Property Address Upgrades a. Make the Postcode the First field – When the user types a postcode, provide a dropdown of Suggested Addresses to select from. b. To the right of the Addresses provide a Google Map of the location of the address i. This Google map will allow the user to move the Pin to the exact location and Save ii. The google map will have the ability to zoom in and out and change from Map to Satellite View 7. Replace Bedrooms with “Approximate Square Foot” Dropdown 8. Add two new tick box fields which should be grouped with the above “Approximate Square Foot” dropdown field a. Annex b. Outbuilding Tick boxes 9. Separate the Vendor Detail fields from the Property Details, these fields are as follows a. Vendor Name b. Vendor Contact Number (i) c. Vendor Alternative Number d. Vendor E-mail (i) 10. For the rest of the content, the fields that you see are grouped together, they need to remain grouped although you can choose the layout design and positioning of these groups, please keep any * required fields and (i) information popovers. There are a number of applications we like the design of. Some of these may not suit our site layout but we like the design. We may add more of these... Intercom - Attached - Very clean and pleasant to look at - This contains a lot of information but does not feel cluttered. We like the chat message area which could be used to replace the current Messages Section. Rows - Attached - This image shows two versions of a Grid of rows. We like the top one but with the vertical separators shown in the second Checkout Page - Attached - This is fantastic - We Love the fonts, we love the minimalistic approach, we love how items that are selected are clearly visible e.g. The Documents Image with blue box around it The Tick's and crosses that show if a field is correct or not The numbers in circles are divine although I don't know how you can incorporate that in to our page. The only thing that does not excite me about this page is the top part which includes Your Order and Help Centre. Otherwise this design is beautiful.
